pionego

Digital experiences for places that have something to tell.

Things to read, to hear and to see, on the phone of whoever came to visit. Nothing to download, no devices to hand out and collect, and it works where there is no signal.

The Colosseum and the Roman Forum at sunset, seen from the road that joins them
Colosseum and Roman Forum — a pionego experience in use, 30 stops in five languages.

The problem

People who don’t understand don’t remember.

A sign in two languages isn’t enough for an audience arriving from thirty countries. And someone who walks through a place with nothing to give it meaning simply looks at it: they don’t retell it, don’t recommend it, don’t come back.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them is an obstacle.

  1. You get in

The visitor opens the experience on their own phone with a code or a QR. No app to install, no sign-up.

  2. You download it once

The experience comes with you: underground, inside a basilica, on an archaeological site with no signal, it keeps working.

  3. You listen while walking

Audio, text, images and maps in the visitor’s language, stop after stop, at their own pace.

Who is behind it

pionego is a platform by Fenice.

Fenice develops it, maintains it, connects it to the systems of whoever uses it, and promotes it. It isn’t a tool you buy and are left with: there is someone behind it who answers.

Let’s talk

If you have a place to tell, write to us.

Tell us where you are, how many languages you need and how soon you would like to start. A person replies, not a form.
